Atelier Rosanne Bergsma is rooted in a pure and simple life close to nature. We have a passion for making goods that compliment the lives and pursuits of people. Influenced by craft wear we distill and refine our designs into a timeless and ongoing collection of shoes and accessories.

We are making timeless and high quality products through excellent craftsmanship and well thought-out functionality. Products that are designed to last, and that are made in a responsible way. We choose to produce on order so we can focus on the essentials. In this way we save the environment from overproduction.

We work with the best and purest materials that respect people and planet. Our material suppliers are key players, they share our vision of the world and believe that production of design-products must be combined with ethics.

ABOUT VEG TANNED LEATHER
The processing of animal hides into leather is called tanning. Veg tan is one of the oldest methods of tanning known to man. Vegetable tanning remains the closest to the condition of nature and the most respectful of ecology. One of the main characteristics of these hides is that they acquire more and more character with use. The leather changes color slightly and acquiring a unique appearance. The products are transforming into real ones reliable, unique and long-lasting companions, who remind us of adventures.

ABOUT ROSANNE BERGSMA
Rosanne Bergsma’s passion for shoes and craftsmanship started in the second year of the product design study at the academy of arts in Arnhem (ArtEZ). In 2009 she finished the study cum laude. After her study she decided to enhance her craft skills. And continued her job at an orthopedic shoemaker while starting her own Atelier. In 2015 Rosanne and David got their first son Benjamin followed by son Eden in 2018. They believe in raising children with the freedom to explore and pursue the things that uniquely light them up, while supporting their journey and allowing them to lead the way. As a mother she more and more awakened to the beauty of minimalism, natural and organic materials, and eco-friendly living. She wanted to create timeless pieces that were practical, made with non-toxic fabrics and made in an environmentally and socially conscious way. The collection is a minimalist line of nature-inspired, ethical, organic, and high-comfort products that are easy to wear, so they can support us wherever we go. All made by Atelier Rosanne Bergsma in Arnhem.

MADE TO ORDER

All products are produced on demand and specially made for you. In this way we save the environment from over-production.

SHOPPING EXPERIENCE

The shop is based on the same principle. The customer orders the product they want and the production gets started.  In our store you will find samples of our timeless and ongoing collection, which you can try on. If you decide to buy an item, we will take your order and the production will start. The pick up time will varies and depends on the product you order.
